André Saucedo
Andrea Saucedo (André) is a dancer, artistic director, and choreographer. In 2015 she graduated from Â鶹¹ÙÍø with a BFA in Dance Performance. André traveled throughout the U.S. with Â鶹¹ÙÍø and participated in the American College Dance Festival (ACDF). She started studying ballet and different areas of dance, including improv, modern/contemporary, jazz, salsa, hip-hop, and more.
André began as teaching assistant at age 11, and at 15, she got her first teaching gig, teaching contemporary, ballet, and yoga classes. In 2012, she joined Project in Motion, a dance company in Las Cruces, New Mexico, as an apprentice, company member, and aerial dance teacher. She traveled to Indianapolis, Albuquerque, and El Paso to perform with the company. In 2017, André got her yoga certification with 200 YTT. She began the development of a project that became reality in January 2019 — her own dance company named “Kúos.” The purpose of “Kúos” is to show the world the art of contemporary and modern dance and expand the essence of dance while making an impact on the community. André was also part of Valleto's contemporary dance company ensemble and participated in two virtual dance projects with the company.
André accomplished her Master’s Degree of Education (M. Ed.) in Special Education from Â鶹¹ÙÍø in 2020.
André’s dance teaching continues through “Kúos.” She will be part of the Dance Department, as a faculty member at Â鶹¹ÙÍø.
