This program develops science professionals in fields ranging from Ecology to Evolutionary Biology to Biomedical Sciences. Students conduct research on campus or at one of our field labs located around the globe. Graduates will be equipped with research experience, practical knowledge in the biological sciences, and professional development training that prepares them for careers as science educators, laboratory and field technicians, or research scientists.
Faculty research includes immunology and infectious disease, neuroscience, toxicology, cancer biology, ecology and more
Conduct research on campus in the Border Biomedical Research Center, or off-site at the Indio Mountains Research Station

Nicole Setzu relished opportunities to engage in research at Â鶹¹ÙÍø. As a master's student, her work helped acquire a $1.5 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to research inflammatory responses in immune system diseases. She presented her research at national and international conferences. She hopes to continue her education in a doctoral program to further her research of infectious disease.
Advanced science expertise is in high demand in dynamic industries such as health care, gerontology, food, energy, environmental sciences and government agencies.
