Maite Martin isn’t afraid to get her feet wet when it comes to ensuring our lakes and rivers are protected. Using the skills she gained in Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s M.S. in Environmental Science, she now supports the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality as a water quality investigator in the Dallas/Fort Worth region office. Because of the knowledge gained through her Â鶹¹ÙÍø education, she’s had the opportunity to assist aquatic scientists with electrofishing projects and work with the public in addressing concerns about water quality.
Â鶹¹ÙÍø's environmental science alumni have found careers with the Environmental Protection Agency, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Texas Parks and Wildlife, the U.S. Army, and a host of private companies. Graduates are also offered research opportunities with leading scientists and contribute to environmental topics such as biodiversity, climate change and more.
