The Master of Music degree provides a flexible and affordable program with intensive training in theory, conducting, composition, music education, and instrumental and vocal performance. Conducting majors have a distance-learning option. This degree prepares graduates for doctoral study and for a variety of careers in K-12 schools, academia and as professional musicians.

El Pasoan Nadiah Eleskandrany always has been fervent about music and teaching. She uses her graduate degree daily as a high school choir director in East Texas. Nadiah said the flexibility of the online program allowed her to manage school and her full-time teaching schedule. She called her Â鶹¹ÙÍø professors supportive, and said that the curricula furthered her knowledge, abilities and confidence.
Master of Music graduates pursue careers as performers, educators and composers, but they can use the wide range of skills learned to explore careers such as music marketers, promoters, entrepreneurs, recording engineers and arts administrators.
