Briana Dawkins is very passionate about working with underserved communities. The Houston native picked Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s DPT program because of its emphasis on cultural competency and its commitment to community service. Briana created Â鶹¹ÙÍø's DPT Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee (now Committee on Inclusive Excellence) to promote dialogue, reflection and research. As a physical therapist, she aims to help patients regain function and mobility.
Physical therapists provide care for people with or at risk for injuries, illnesses, disabilities and other health-related conditions, and promote optimal physical function. Licensure is required in each state to practice.
