When teaching students in the Early Childhood Care and Education program, faculty member Kenneth Dore’s hands-on, multi-sensory and project-based assignments such as peer observations, DIY musical instrument making and sketching allow students to fully engage in the lessons and activities they may provide their future students. They also gain a deeper understanding of effective teaching practices and assessments for diverse learners.
Graduates of the B.S. in Early Childhood Care and Education program go on to work for daycares and Head Start programs, open their own childcare businesses, and work as teachers and directors for early childhood care and education institutes.
