As an early career professional in the nonprofit industry, Christian Lopez knew that in order to scale his impact and advance his career he needed to further his understanding of the public sector. The MPA program’s unique curriculum and the flexibility afforded by its online courses allowed him to enhance his skillset while working full time and pursuing a project-based internship for the City of El Paso. Now, as a Civic Empowerment Manager for the City of El Paso, he leverages skills in program evaluation and data collection to lead a dynamic team that works to improve the lives of El Pasoans.
Graduates of the MPA work in fields and industries that reflect a common commitment to finding and creating solutions that influence societies and improve lives. These positions include careers in government, global development banks, nongovernmental organizations, and leading strategic consulting firms.
