College of Engineering
The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering prepares students to solve technical problems through the design of devices and systems used in electric power systems, electric vehicles, wireless communication systems, smart phones, robotics and aerospace systems. Students develop problem-solving skills through work with faculty, research in state-of-the-art labs, and internship opportunities with organizations such as El Paso Electric, Texas Instruments, and NASA.
Obtain practical experience with internships at top companies such as Texas Instruments and Raytheon Technologies
Participate in hands-on projects in research and teaching labs before graduation
Join the Â鶹¹ÙÍø student chapter of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
Completing her B.S. in Electrical Engineering at Â鶹¹ÙÍø allowed Artizy Ibarra to discover her passion for design engineering and to enter the workforce ready to achieve her goals. Through her courses, professors, clubs and other personal development opportunities offered at Â鶹¹ÙÍø, she was able to gain the confidence and skills needed to succeed as a Digital Design Engineer with Texas Instruments.
