Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS)
About the Program
The Â鶹¹ÙÍø Clinical Laboratory Science program prepares entry-level clinical laboratory scientists who will perform diagnostic laboratory testing with the purpose of contributing to the improvement of the population’s health and wellness. The program provides students with the necessary knowledge and experience to qualify to take national MLS certification examinations. The program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology
About the Program
The Â鶹¹ÙÍø Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology program prepares students for certifications as Strength and Conditioning Specialists, Personal Trainers, Health Fitness Instructors, Exercise Specialists, Clinical Exercise Physiologists, and for graduate programs in Kinesiology, Physical and Occupational Therapy, medical school and many others. Students at the undergraduate level can select from three concentrations:
- Clinical Exercise Science: Designed for students interested in learning how to use exercise in clinical settings.
- Human Fitness and Performance: Prepares students for careers in health-related fitness professions for adult and geriatric populations, and athletic performance across the lifespan.
- Physical Education Teacher Education: Prepares students for a career as a physical education teacher in the public schools.
Bachelor of Science in Public Health
About the Program
The Â鶹¹ÙÍø Bachelor of Science in Public Health program prepares students to assume professional roles where they provide the information and skills necessary to help individuals make informed decisions about lifestyle and personal health behaviors, which can play an important role in preventing and controlling many current health problems. Graduates assume professional roles in a variety of settings, including government agencies, private businesses, public and private schools and social service agencies.
Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences
About the Program
The Â鶹¹ÙÍø Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences program is designed to prepare undergraduate students for a career in the rehabilitation professions. Most rehabilitation professions require post-baccalaureate education as the entry-level degree. This major provides students with the requisite course knowledge, attitudes, values and skills to meet the challenges of graduate or professional education at Â鶹¹ÙÍø. Students select from one of four tracks:
- Occupational Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- Rehabilitation Counseling
- Speech-Language Pathology
