Graduate Outcomes
Graduates of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in the Department of Physical Therapy and Movement Sciences are eligible to sit for the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT). After successful completion of the examination, the individual will then hold the title of Physical Therapist and be eligible for employment.
As of January 1, 2016, the CAPTE minimum ultimate required pass rate for the NPTE is an average of 85% over 2 years. CAPTE-required employment rates are at least 90% averaged over 2 years. CAPTE-required graduation rates are at least 80% averaged over 2 years.
