Naomi Fertman has been with the Women’s and Gender Studies department for 5 years. She holds a Masters in Social Work and A Masters of Public Health from New Mexico State University. Naomi’s area of interest are in maternal health with a focus on accessibility and health advocacy. Naomi teaches a number of the intro level courses (both face to face and online) as well as the upper level electives Women and Work in the Sex Industry and Mental Illness at the Margins. Naomi is the faculty advisor for IGNITE (Â鶹¹ÙÍø). Outside of Â鶹¹ÙÍø Naomi is co-founder of El Jardin: Birth and Family Resource Center.
