Like other Texas public universities, we use the application. Use it to report your complete academic record, including college credit.
The summer/fall application opens on August 1. We accept applications throughout the year. There is no application fee for domestic applicants or essay requirement for admissions.

You can make a payment in person at Cashiers located at:

500 W. University Ave.
El Paso, TX 79968-0510
If you cannot make the payment by check you can pay online.
Make sure that you have been given a student ID number as it is required to make payments online.
Make checks payable to The University of Texas at El Paso. Write your student ID number and/or full name and date of birth on your check or money order. Do not mail cash.
Submit Official Transcripts
Official High School or College transcripts must be sent directly from the schools attended in the U.S. or abroad. Foreign transcripts in a language other than English must be translated before being submitted to the university.
Copies or faxes are considered unofficial and will not satisfy this admission requirement.

Note: All transcripts in languages other than English or Spanish must be accompanied by a certified English translation.
Submit Test Scores
All international students must submit entrance exam scores. Take one of the following exams and request your scores to be sent directly to Â鶹¹ÙÍø from the testing center:
- SAT: minimum score of 1070 (reading + math sections) with a score of 480 on the reading section
- ACT: minimum composite score of 23 with a score of 19 on the English section
- TOEFL: minimum score of 500 on Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s institutional paper based exam or
a minimum score of 61 on the Internet Based TOEFL (IBT)- TOEFL Exemptions.
- PAA: minimum score of 1000
- Pearson Test of English (PTE): minimum score of 44
- Â鶹¹ÙÍø does not accept IELTS scores for admission.
- TOEFL Exemptions.
Test results may take up to 5 weeks to receive. Use the following testing codes to submit official scores:
- SAT: 6829
- ACT: 4223
- TOEFL: 6829
